The Remote Desktop Web Connection ActiveX control allows you to access your computer through Remote Desktop, via the Internet, from another computer using Internet Explorer. You must be using Internet Information Services (IIS) to host a Web site to use this feature.

You can download the software on this page and run setup to install the ActiveX control and sample Web page on any computer running Internet Information Server 4.0 or higher.

Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003 users must specify an installation directory.

When setup asks Where would you like to place the sample web pages directory? enter C:\Windows\Web\TSWeb, and then click OK.

If the TsWeb folder does not exist, setup will ask if you want to create it.
Click Yes.

To install the Remote Desktop Web Connection on Windows NT 4.0, or Windows 2000:

When the File Download dialog box appears, select Save this program to disk.

Choose a location on your computer to save the file, and then click Save.
Go to the location where you saved the file and double-click the file to launch the Setup program.
When setup asks Where would you like to place the sample web pages directory? enter C:\Windows\Web\TSWeb, and then click OK.
If the TsWeb folder does not exist, setup will ask if you want to create it. Click Yes.
